The war for Westeros rages on, but not without a twist of humor and hijinks that would sear a smile on even the most frigid wight. Musical Thrones: A Parody of Ice and Fire, presented by The Philadelphia Theatre Company, will make landfall in Philly as part of a national tour early February of the coming year. Composed by the comedic brains of Silence! The Musical, Jon and Al Kaplan pull out all the stops, as neither venerable nor vile character is safe from the long night of jokes and jabs.
Have a dance with dragons, a song with Starks, and a laugh with Lannisters as the audience sails through the seven kingdoms, and the past seven seasons, through this hilarious take of the cherished series. The 90 minutes of hilarity will take place at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, starting with a show Friday, February 9 at 8:00 p.m., followed by two shows on February 10 at both 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. Between the Saturday shows, a Thrones-themed bar crawl will take place with the help of Craft Concepts Group and Cinder–details to be announced. Gather golden dragons and silver stags, for tickets start at $25, or $19 with a PTC membership, and cure your wintry Westerosi withdrawal!
