Have you ever wanted to visit the Wizarding World? Well now you can. There is magic in this city but only for a weekend. The Academy of Natural Sciences is hosting their annual
Wild Wizarding Weekend from November 24-26. Explore this magical world 10:00a.m.-4:30p.m. on Friday and from 10:00a.m.-5:00p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. If you wear your best wizard attire you’ll get a $2 discount at the door.
The Wizarding World Weekend will let guests of all ages feel like a true wizard or witch. This spellbinding weekend will have many hands on activities. Wizards and witches can get sorted into their houses by picking their favorite animal. After you are sorted you might want to take in the live owl show at 1:00p.m. You can also learn about “bad” fantastic beast(11:00a.m. & 3:00p.m.) and how they are often misunderstood. Take a class Hagrid would enjoy; how to train your mini dragon in the Dinosaur Hall.
Visiting witches and wizards can create their own wands and some ooey-gooey troll boogers( a staple in making potions). Want to learn how to tell fortunes? Try taking the tasseography class were you learn how to use tea leaves to tell the future! You’ll also be given some tea leaves to take home with you. Plus don’t miss the Bunnies & Broomsticks events as you cheer on magical bunnies as they hop to glory!
