A few years ago, I fell in love with a glorious little hot dog shop on South Street. Each menu item was poster created by the amazing Hawk Krall, each actual hot dog itself was a work of art. I found myself coming back in week after week for their hot dog of the week. They were featured on the Travel channel’s Man v. Food. People raved about them. Unfortunately, their end time came too soon.
This morning, I received an EXCITING email from Hot Diggity founder Keith Garabedian. Sidenote: we’ve previously recognized Keith as a 2016 Philly Geek Awards nominee for his podcast, Highlander Rewatched.
After two painfully long years, they’re coming back, for ONE NIGHT ONLY.
Philadelphia’s award winning and much beloved hot dog emporium is teaming up with sandwich nirvana Stockyard for a one night collaboration. These two titans of tubular meat will ring in the first Wednesday of October (October 4th) at Stockyard’s “Beer + Friends” event with 3 delicious Hot Dog specials and more! Beer tastings will be provided by Naked Brewing Co offering up some of the finest in locally brewed beers. The one night only menu features some of Hot Diggity’s most beloved classics as recreated by Hot Diggity’s Chef/Owner Keith Garabedian with Stockyard’s very own Chefs Will Lindsay and Mike Metzger.
The Cincinnati Skyline Dog
Featuring Cincinnati style chili, house made three cheese sauce, onions and scallions.
The Seattle Grunge Dog
Topped with whipped garlic cream cheese, Red Onion Straws, Scallions, and Tomatoes.
Battered and fried to crispy and and golden brown perfection
Smoked Ham Hock baked beans, hot dogs, Fried Crispy onions, Sweet and Spicy BBQ Drizzle
Dogs hit the grill at 5pm and we will be slinging until closing time (8pm)! Stockyard’s delicious regular menu will be available all night as well.
