Cross over into the land of the dead for an unforgettable night. Atlas Obscura and Laurel Hill Cemetery presents: Into the Veil.
“Life is eternal. Death is merely a change in condition…”
Explore the liminal world that exists between the land of the living and the realm that belongs to the dead. Laurel Hill Cemetery was founded in 1836 and was designed as space for the living to reflect on life just as much as it was created as a unique resting place for the dead. Over the course of the evening, you will come across hidden art, musical performances, enjoy cocktails, and encounter one of a kind entertainment as you make your way through the winding paths of the cemetery at night. That’s if you dare.
Cocktail attire is encouraged but so are sensible shoes. You’ll also want to bring a flashlight to keep the ghosts away or just to be able to see where you are going.
