“Hey, a magician, the lowest form of entertainment!”
Those words rang loud and clear in the ears of Robert Mallissa, as he prepared for his street show–and with the wave of a wand and the snap of a finger, inspiration appeared like silly string out of a sleeve. Entranced by the world of wizardry at a young age, Mallissa’s magic has spread from the streets to parties, restaurants, community events and even as far as Europe. The renowned Houdini Club award winner takes a clever, comedic approach to the preconceived notions and the dark arts of magic, such as trickery and deception. For each swindell, the audience shall swoon at the original, poetic presentations he has to offer!
The Philly native will make his grand entrance at The Rotunda for the Philly Fringe Festival on Friday, September 8 and 15 starting at 8:00 p.m. with tickets for this magical hour at $10.
