First off, has anyone ever seen The Wizard? It stars Fred Savage and involves an awesome video game contest. This week’s project, at least to me, is a little similar to the 1989 movie.
In Game the Gamer, a total of four players are given one hundred dollars cash. All they have have to do in order to keep their money is play three video games and not come in last.
If they come in last the have to give back all their money. However, before each game we are going to have an auction. The auction lets you buy advantages or disadvantages for other players, but they must bid with their own prize money and will leave only with what they have left. Who has the skills and the cunning to be the champion? Find out on Game the Gamer!
Take a look at the pilot below and see how the four contestants do. It’s hilarious.
Now, the rewards. My favorite part when writing these columns. Pledging $50 or more will get you +2 Comedy shirt, which according to the Kickstarter is a long running joke. You’ll also receive the perks that come with the previous pledges such as a thank you tweet, your name in credits, +2 Comedy bookmark and bumper sticker, and a blooper reel.
Pledge $100 or more and receive access to Game the Gamer production diary plus the other previous perks.

Every week Geekadelphia features a crowdfunding project created by local Philadelphians. Check ‘em out and support our local geek scene. If you have a project that you’d like featured on site, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
