Warriors far and wide shall gather to watch the waters come to life. Dawned in their ceremonial battle garbs, heroes of the harbor fought bravely long into the night, and their triumphs and hardships will resurrect on riverfront. The Independence Seaport Museum will kickstart River Alive Nights on the eve of May 4. Uncover the mysteries and histories of the city’s waterfront as you drive into rare lab experiments, and get acquainted with the critters below the undertow.
Champions of the current will have the opportunity to dress up in their favorite gear for a chance to win prizes, and brandish luminous blades fresh off the 3-D printer. The 21 and over event launches at 6 p.m., with tickets at $18 terrestrial dollars. May the stars guide you to safety, may the winds fill your sails, and May the Fourth be with you.
