Local robotics startup LocoRobo is launching a summer camp this July that’ll “take a deep dive into the world of robotics, codings, sensors, physics, and statistics” for kids 8 to 18.
The sessions for grades 4 through 8 will run July 11th through July 15th, with sessions for teens in grades 9 through 12 will run July 18th through the 22nd.
Here’s a bit more on the camp from the LocoRobo team:
LocoRobo builds hardware, software and educational content to help students solve problems, navigate opportunities and pursue their dreams. To advance this effort, LocoRobo is hosting LocoSummer, a 5-day summer camp located in Philadelphia for children and young adults, grades 4-12.
LocoRobo will provide students with a high-energy week that will consist of comprehensive workshops and fun challenges to immerse students into the worlds of robotics, codings, sensors, physics, and statistics. The program will ultimately expand each student’s digital literacy skills while they have fun and meet new friends.
Individuals with little-to-no knowledge of modern technology are welcomed. Breakfast and snacks will be provided, and students will be able to take a break for lunch and explore local restaurants or enjoy a packed lunch.
