Geek of the Year Ather Sharif’s evoHaX will be returning this weekend to Benjamin’s Desk for an entire weekend aimed at creating solutions to change peoples’ lives. This time around, evoHaX will be celebrating Disability Awareness Month around the theme of “Accessible Wearable Technologies”. Teams from local universities are invited to participate, as well as teams from local tech firms. The goal is to conceptualize and build wearable technologies that could benefit people with a wide range of disabilities.
Not a hacker? Think again. evoHaX is for anyone who wants to come together and work with others to solve problems that can change lives. There’s a little bit of incentive too, evoHaX SE’s winning team will be taking home brand new Pebble Time Smartwatches!
Registration is now open for participants. There’ll be space for ten teams which will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Want to attend to check out the discussions, presentations or just hang out at the event? You can register as a non-participant or volunteer too.
