AIGA Philadelphia, the local chapter of the famed professional design association, is surfing into exciting, new territory with the announcement of their upcoming GRAPHIC & NOVEL exhibition, curated by Chase Alexander and Gaby Heit.
Detailed as “A showcase of local comic book artists, visual communicators and storytellers”, 16 Philadelphia-area artists with a wide range of styles and varying aesthetics are coming together May 1 to celebrate projects which share the common theme of sequential art and design. Per AIGA: ‘Many pieces will ‘feature the characters and stories that have influenced the pop culture landscape’. [Ed. note: COMICS!]
GRAPHIC & NOVEL debuts this coming First Friday at AIGA Philadelphia’s headquarters, Philadelphia SPACE, and will be on display through May 31. Additional, related programming will be announced by AIGA throughout the month.
