As a warm up to Philly Tech Week (April 17 – 25) check out TEDxPenn on April 12 and join 1,000 individuals in considering the event’s theme: What Lies Ahead.
This completely student run event was first initiated with a conference in 2013, but the audience capped at 125 people due to licenses. Now TEDxPenn has grown 800%, and plans to release a networking app for the big day, allowing attendees to connect with each other through messaging features, bios, and interests.
Seventeen diverse speakers will address this topic from their own unique backgrounds including: microtech engineer, social scientist, magician(!!), and classical historian. In the mix are some of Penn’s leading professors, as well as experts and storytellers from around the country. Right now they’ve only announced 9 speakers, with the full lineup unveiling over the course of March.
To join in on an all day conversation surrounding the future and how to shape it, reserve your spot online. For updates and more information, go to www.tedxpenn.com, or follow on Facebook and Twitter.
