Last time we talked about BotBuilder here on the blog, they were setting up shop and running an awesome class in Delaware. Well, this time around they’re a little bit closer, and hosting a 3D printer assembly workshop at the Department of Making and Doing at the University City Science Center.
Also, can we talk about how awesome that department’s name is? The Department of Making and Doing. Seriously. Awesome. Here, check out their website.
The workshop runs Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, and class attendees only need to bring a laptop. Over the course of the weekend, participants will build their own RepRap 3D printer, which will be yours to keep at the end of the weekend.
The cost for the class is $999, but it’s all inclusive. Not only will you take home a 3D printer when you’re done, even your food for the weekend is included in the package.
You can scope out some awesome pictures from their last workshop on Flickr, and even check out the prep for the current workshop. You can get more details about the class on BotBuilder’s website.
