Last year’s NEPA BlogCon was a huge success, allowing local bloggers to converge in Luzerne County to exchange ideas, network and help each other improve their blogging skills through a sharing of information. It also raised thousands of dollars for NEPA Veterans Multicare Alliance and the Arc of Luzerne County, helping the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania at the same time.
Well, after such success, it’s no surprise that NEPA Blogcon is back again this year. Being held at the Luzerne County Community College Conference Center on October 5, 2013, it will once again bring together bloggers of all experience levels to learn, network and become better writers as well as teach the many uses of blogging to people interested in business, marketing and social media.
Just some of the events are set to include:
- HTML5, CSS3, and host of other technologies that can be useful to bloggers
- Blogging 101
- Customizing and securing your WordPress site
- Growing and developing your blog
- Social media for small businesses
- Creating engaging, compelling content
- Google Analytics 101
And many more.
In addition, this year NEPA BlogCon will be hosting a Blog of the Year competition with different categories being voted on each week. Some of the categories include politics, sports, writing, food and fashion with all of the winners being chosen by fans voting for their favorites.
Tickets will set you back are $30 (student pricing is available), sales close on September 27 include lunch refreshments, a SWAG bag and admission to all sessions. And all the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge in Dallas, PA
