Cinedelphia Film Festival Announces Second Week of Programming

The fine folks over at the Cinedelphia Film Fest have just announced their second wave of programming and this one definitely has some great stuff in store for local cinephiles. Some programs of special note are the double bill of the Danger After Dark Retrospective hosted by the series programmer Travis Crawford and the Philadelphia Premier of Vanishing Waves, which won 4 awards at Fantastic Fest last year, including best feature.

The way these two great events tie together so well to Philadelphia is Vanishing Waves is distributed by Artsploitation Films, which Travis works for as their Acquisitions Consultant. Artsploitation Films founder/president is Raymond Murray the co-founder of TLA Entertainment Group, who were the sponsors of the now defunct Cinefest Film Festival and Danger After Dark, which is rumored to be making a come back this spring.

If you will, a moment of silence for Cinefest.

Okay, speaking of TLA I also have to admit the TLA Entertainment: A History sounds pretty amazing, as well. I still remember my first time in the TLA on 517 South 4th Street one fateful summer, it was definitely an eye opening experience seeing what a video store actually run by people who love film, could be.

The week concludes with Miss Rose’s Sexploitation Follies presents: Wes Anderson. Check out the full schedule with details after the jump!
