Exhumed Films Presents: A Great 35mm Double Feature this Friday at the International House!

Exhumed Films has been working overtime over at the International House screening some amazing horror films on 35mm over the last few weeks and this Friday’s double feature is no exception.  The first feature is the extremely underrated Jamie Lee Curtis slasher classic Terror Train, which just got a flawless Blu-ray release from Scream Factory.

Terror Train was a staple of late night Cinemax, which is where I first caught it one fateful night in the early 80s. The film takes the basic slasher formula an applies it to a moving train, where a New Year’s Eve costume party is taking place. Of course the party attendees are dropping off one by one, and all signs point to a prank gone wrong several years before.

Keeping with the theme, the second feature is the Spanish/British co-production Horror Express. The film stars Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Alberto de Mendoza and Telly Savalas as group of scientists who are being stalked and killed by a creature they discovered in the ice as they travel on the Trans-Siberian Express.

Doors are at 7:30pm with the film starting at 8:00pm. Tickets for the event are $15 for non-International House members and free if you’re a member.
