Global Game Jam: This Friday @ Camden County College

Grab your laptop and pack some energy drinks: Global Game Jam is coming back to the Philadelphia area!

What is Global Game Jam? Well, I’m glad you asked. GGJ is a 48-hour event in which teams make games – whether they be video games or tabletop games. Everything starts Friday evening with a keynote speech from a leader in the video game industry, during which the theme of the weekend is announced. After that, people split off into teams, and the magic begins!

This year’s Philadelphia event will be held over the bridge in New Jersey at Camden County College. Interested parties can register at the Philadelphia site, where they can also get more details on transportation and what kind of technology is available.

The event begins Friday at 5PM and ends Sunday at 5PM. The facilities include showers, so you can feel like a human being, despite the lack of sleep! For more information, feel free to contact Ryan Morrison, the Philadelphia Jam Organizer.
