Setsucon: Annual Anime Convention Hits State College This Weekend

Move over, college football. Penn State has a new form of weekend entertainment.

On the weekend of January 26-27, the annual Setsucon anime convention will hold its 7 th meeting. Hosted by the Penn State Anime Organization, the two-day convention will be held at the Penn Stater Conference Center in State College.

Among the guests are voice actors Todd Haberkorn (Hetalia, FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) and Cherami Leigh (Witchblade, Sgt. Frog). Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to meet geek-specific stand-up comedian (and Philly native) Uncle Yo, bellydance troupe Antipode, and Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series creator Martin “LittleKuriboh” Billany.

Setsucon activities will include anime series screenings, a number of panels, a Host Club to benefit the Child’s Play charity, masquerade and anime music video contests.
